As my first attempt into the blog world I think I will start by introducing myself. My name is Paulo Basseto and I work with wedding photography for over 9 years now. Born and raised in Brazil I always had a passion for the kind of artistic view wedding photographers from New York have. This mix of fashion to contemporary to “photo-journalistic” approaches just fascinates me. Fascinates so much that here I am, in New York City, breaking into one of the most challenging and demanding photography market I have ever seen. I have to admit, it’s just awesome! The way the market changes and evolves here is unbelievable! One of a kind experience. I am living here for 4 years now and I don’t think I will be going anywhere else. I love the city, the industry here, the clients, everything is different, everything is so easy to get along, I mean, there is so many tastes and views and different people here that it’s just perfect for you to explore all different aspects of photography. If you are a fellow photographer and are thinking about coming to New York, my advice: DO IT! And if you are a bride and groom and decide to get married in New York, you won’t regret! All the choices and ideas that you will be able to accomplish here is something very hard for you to find anywhere else in the U.S. Well, that’s just me expressing my feelings towards photography and I think the best way to show what I just wrote is to give you an example with a few images from the portfolio. I will be updating this blog little by little with my biography and links to my favorite sites, just keep an eye to it.
